Insurance Concepts Canada Inc. has no direct or indirect ownership or financial interest in any insurer. The Empire Life Insurance Company is a minority shareholder in our company. We are not otherwise a member or affiliated with any insurer owned, financed, or affiliated financial or non-financial network.
Our role requires us to perform risk assessment, underwriting, risk management and deploy technology-based solutions on behalf of our insurer to allow us to make specialty insurance products available to you.
As a specialty insurance broker/agency, our role is to provide you with the best insurance value that combines coverage, service, and price. We also provide personalized, quality service that includes professional insurance advice, ongoing policy maintenance and claims support. When any issue arises regarding your insurance coverage, we are your advocate, using our professional experience to best represent your individual interest.
Our compensation is part of your insurance premium.
Tokio Marine Canada Ltd.: Our commission is 1 - 6% of the premium paid by you.
Additional commissions are allowed in some circumstances when we are required/requested to pay promotional, technology, risk management or financial services expenses on behalf of our underwriters.
This commission percentage is paid annually for both new business and renewals. Should there be an increase in the commission we receive from your insurer, or, any other material change that affects compensation arrangements, we will update this disclosure.
Exclusive or Single Market
While we endeavor to offer you the best choices available for a particular market, the nature of the Specialty Insurance market is that of limited or exclusive access. As such, we are currently only authorized to act as a broker/agency for the insurance company listed above.
